June 19, 2007 0824hours - Fairmount Fire Company and the
Long Valley First Aid Squad were dispatched to the area of 54 Parker Road
for an overturned motor vehicle accident. Fortunately, the accident
was close proximity to the firehouse, which allowed Fairmount to quickly
respond and asses the scene. Upon arrival, one female occupant was in
the vehicle standing upright. Firefighters were able to remove the
windshield of the vehicle using forcible entry tools on Engine 2-1 and freed
the occupant. The Long Valley First Aid Squad provided emergency
medical care and transported the patient to a trauma center.
