Thursday, January 3, 2007 – At 2153 hours, Hunterdon County Communications received a report of a structure fire with possible entrapment at 3 Palatine Road in Tewksbury Township. Firebox 2408 Level 2 was alerted, dispatching Oldwick Fire Company, Fairmount Fire Company, North Branch FAST team, Raritan Township Fast Team, Tewksbury Rescue Squad, and the Tewksbury Township Police. While the apparatus were responding, command requested a second alarm which brought additional manpower and tenders for water supply. The Tewksbury Township police and fire officers arrived shortly and confirmed that no one was trapped in the residence. Fairmount Engine 2-1 arrived as the initial engine which supplied three Compressed Air Foam Lines. Crews went to work in the structure with heavy fire showing throughout the second story, with the heaviest coming from the Bravo/Charlie area. Crews were able to extinguish a tremendous amount of fire, however due to the questionable stability of the structure, an evacuation was ordered. Crews kept at work with an exterior attack from the Delta, Alpha, and Bravo sides of the house. Water was supplied to the fire by a tanker shutter with a fill site at a pond not far from the fire scene. Resources were utilized from the following: Oldwick Fire Company
