Monday, December 19, 2005 - At 1131hours the Washington Township Fire Department was dispatched to a reported electrical fire outside the home of 128 Hacklebarney Road.  The Washington Township Police Department arrived on scene and advised responders of a working fire.  Fairmount's engine 2-1 arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire at the residence and immediately requested Chester Fire Company for a FAST team.  Fairmount's engine 2-2 arrived second and was directed to work on the exterior of the home while engine 2-1's crew was inside checking for extension.  Long Valley and Schooley's Mountain Fire Companies assisted with overhaul.  Additionally, the Long Valley First Aid Squad was dispatched for firefighter rehab.  Quick thinking by first responders extinguished the potentially tragic fire safely and quickly.
