The Fairmount Fire Company was requested to assist Chester Fire Company on Saturday October 1, 2005 at approximately 1545 hours for a overturned propane truck laying on its side in the north bound side of route 206.  Once on scene, Engine 2-1 tied into a hydrant in front of the Chester Diner and supplied a 3" line with compressed air foam to a portable blitz gun. Engine 2-1 flew 800 gallons of water with 2 gallons of foam onto the overturned truck and SUV that were involved, to prevent any kind of ignition point.  The two fire companies remained on scene for almost 3 hours while route 206 was shut down.  Additionally, Fairmount's Engine 2-2 was dispatched to assist with tanker fill if necessary, and to cover Chester for any additional fire incidents.

It took a task-force of heavy-duty wreckers to safely upright the vehicle.  Fortunately, the
up righting of the vehicle went very smoothly.  (below)
